Online shoppers have increasingly high expectations. Studies show that 89% of retail companies expect to compete primarily on the basis of customer experience. You can have the best products, but creating seamless connections with your customers is the key to success.
Customers value convenience. More than half of online shoppers have abandoned a purchase due to unsatisfactory delivery choices. They also worry about missed deliveries and porch piracy. Luckily, 90% of people in the U.S. are within five miles of a FedEx Hold at Location destination, making it easy for you to offer convenient delivery options.
Give your customers the selections they’re looking for to customize delivery around their schedule. With FedEx Hold at Location and Redirect to Hold, your customers can take control and request the FedEx® shipping option that meets their needs.
FedEx Hold at Location is a checkout option that allows your customers to ship their package to a nearby FedEx location. Then they can avoid a missed delivery and pick up the package on their schedule while you save residential delivery and signature costs. Your customers will be able to pick up packages at nearly 13,000 convenient nationwide locations.
Redirect to Hold allows customers who have already placed an order to request to change their package’s destination, in transit, to a nearby FedEx location. And they can do it right from your website. It’s a nice touch to give your customers a quick, easy way to update their deliveries when plans change.
